Luuk Arce

Luuk Arce aka DJ Mad Luuk is an artist and DJ. Raised in New York City in the 1970’s and 80’s, Arce witnessed many social and musical changes, particularly the emergence of hip-hop, disco and new wave. His many artistic influences include graffiti/street art, cartooning, illustration, psychedelic art, comedy, music, and commercial graphic design.

Arce attended York College of the City University of New York for his BA in Studio Art. He specializes in illustration and graphic design using Adobe Creative Cloud. He uses drawing and painting skills in various media including customized art work on clothing.

Arce is currently launching Glitter Grooves, a mobile/wedding DJ company focusing on the LGBTQIA+ community. As a member of the community, he strives to bring a sense of visibility, relevance and hope.

Art is never static because life is constantly in motion.
